Comptoir 102 has been on my breakfast bucket list for such a long time now. I have heard great things about the food here so last weekend I came here with my sister/ general life partner in crime.
So here you have it, a mini break down of our Comptoir 102 breakfast experience and why it should be at the top of your list.
What we ate: So being a vegan usually limits my menu choices quite considerably but not here. I got confronted by a great breakfast menu….it was so hard to decide what I wanted with so many amazing options. Luckily my sister Amber was with me so we got a few dishes and shared them. So first and foremost we started with coffee, because coffee always comes first! I got a cappuccino (with almond milk), and Amber got a matcha green tea, which is green tea heaven for those green tea lovers.
Food wise I decided to go for the crème budwig which, was a combination of pureed banana, apple and lemon juice along with a whole lot of other goodness. Amber went for the organic eggs with a side of avocado. This leads me nicely to the dessert part of breakfast. As you should always have a two course breakfast right? Well say hi to the buckwheat pancakes. Defiantly a highlight. They were light and fluffy and came with a side of berries and maple syrup. Truly the cherry on the top.
So all in all the food was delicious and well worth the hype. I loved every bit of my two course breakfast and those pancakes were seriously to die for! Now I have talked about the food but it’s not just the food that makes this place special. It’s so beautiful, it has the most stunning outside seating area with sofas, little tables and even a hammock making this the perfect place to come and hang out. There is also a boutique shop here which sells the most delightful selection of organic and vegan food.
